Sarah is a native Texan and grew up in Houston. She attended Mount Vernon College where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983. After graduating she and her partner established Preservation of Art, a conservation and fine art framing business. In 1993 she took advantage of a decade of experience in conservation conscious art care and independently established Sarah Balinskas Fine Framing. Bringing together craftspeople who shared her vision of refinement, she founded her business to provide museum quality framing services for clients seeking truly custom frames with professional, preservation-based standards. Throughout her business career she has treasured being a mother and a wife. When she is not running her business, Sarah may be found on her yoga mat, in a garden or on the sailboat she shares with her husband.
